How We Grew Rodex Movers’ Monthly Revenue by 49% Year-on-Year and Ranked Them on Google Page 1
A previous agency left Rodex Movers with zero Page 1 rankings and a backlink profile that was more than half toxic. 1.5 years later, they rank #1 for high-intent moving keywords, appear inside Google’s AI Overviews, and are featured as a top mover by Singapore’s biggest publications.

Rodex Movers is one of Singapore’s most established moving companies. Founder, Roger Kweh, started the business in 2006 at age 28 with just $3,000 to his name. Just enough to rent a van, put down a deposit, and buy newspaper classified ads. Today, Rodex Movers has completed more than 15,000 moves, including office relocations for organisations like McDonald’s, the Singapore Police Force, the Singapore Tourism Board, Mazda and ASUS.
But in March 2025, when Rodex Movers contacted SEO With Senthil, their online presence told a very different story. Despite having previously engaged an SEO agency, the website was not ranking for a single key term on Google Page 1 and was getting no sustainable organic traffic. According to Roger, the previous agency whom he was paying $1000 a month for, had absolutely no results to show. Their revenue was stagnating. And worst, our audit revealed the agency may have carelessly damaged the site. Over half of the website’s referring domains were toxic or potentially toxic.
SEO Challenges Holding Rodex Movers Back
1. Poor quality blog content
The blog content was neither adding value nor engaging. Articles were lengthy, difficult to read, and poorly structured. They were clearly written for the sole purpose of trying to rank on Google, with no consideration for the reader. Even their listicle on the top movers in Singapore added no real value and was last updated in 2019.
2. Confusing website structure and keyword cannibalisation
The menu bar had conflicting titles such as “Charges” and “Free Quote”. The free quote link sounded like an instant quotation but led to a long contact form. And there was a separate contact page as well. Their website content was scattered with no clear keyword mapping. Worst, there was active keyword cannibalisation: a blog post targeting “house movers in Singapore” competed directly with a services page targeting “house moving”, splitting Google’s attention between two pages instead of concentrating it on one. The March 2025 ranking data showed this clearly: keywords like “moving house singapore price” and “office movers singapore” each had two different Rodex pages indexing at once, both ranking really poorly.
3. Technical SEO issues
The site carried a long list of unresolved technical warnings and errors that hurt crawl efficiency and rankings.
4. A toxic backlink profile (53% of referring domains)
The most damaging problem sat off-site. 96 of the site’s 181 referring domains (65 toxic and 31 potentially toxic, around 53% of the entire profile) were flagged as toxic. A profile like this actively suppresses rankings and risks a Google penalty. These links, most likely built by the previous agency, needed to be systematically disavowed and removed.
What We Did
1Redid keyword research, keyword selection and keyword mapping
In the first month (March 2025), we rebuilt the keyword strategy from scratch: researching what movers’ customers in Singapore actually search for, selecting the commercial keywords worth fighting for, and mapping exactly one page to each target keyword. This eliminated any potential keyword cannibalisation and gave every page on the site a clear job.
2Restructured the website around the new keyword map
We reorganised the site’s pages, menu and internal linking so that both users and Google could instantly understand what each page was about. This included resolving the conflicting “Charges” vs “Free Quote” navigation and consolidating the confusing contact journey.
3Removed and disavowed 96 toxic referring domains
We audited the full backlink profile, identified every toxic and potentially toxic domain, and systematically disavowed and removed them. The cleanup was completed by 5 April 2025. Referring domains dropped from 181 to 99, deliberately. What remained was a clean foundation: the profile’s toxicity score went from HIGH to LOW, with 98% of remaining domains classified as non-toxic.
4Resolved technical SEO issues
We worked through the backlog of technical errors and warnings on an ongoing basis, bringing the site to an 88% health score, within touching distance of the top 10% of websites crawled by Semrush (92%). The site was fully crawlable and optimised for both traditional and AI search engines.
5Built Singapore’s first instant moving price calculators
Pricing opacity is the single biggest frustration for anyone hiring a mover. So instead of just writing about prices, we built Singapore’s first instant house moving price calculator for Rodex Movers. After which, we built an office moving pricing tool and a furniture moving rates calculator too.
Customers get an upfront estimate in minutes with no waiting and no hidden fees. And Google gets genuinely useful, high-intent pages to rank. The moving rates calculator page now holds top-3 positions for transactional keywords like “house mover rates” (#1) and “moving house singapore price” (#2).
6Created outstanding, purposefully researched content
We replaced the old low-value blog with high-quality content mapped to real search demand. The centrepiece was a completely rebuilt “10 Best House Movers Singapore: Prices & Reviews” guide with real pricing obtained from competitors, honest comparisons and regular updates. This article now ranks on Google Page 1 for dozens of high-intent commercial keywords including “house movers singapore” and “best house movers singapore”. Supporting content targeted every stage of the moving journey, from vehicle guides to packing tutorials and moving checklists.
7Earned high-authority backlinks from Singapore’s biggest publications
With the toxic links purged, we rebuilt Rodex Movers’ backlink profile the right way. We added high-quality, non-toxic backlinks every quarter. By mid-2026, Rodex Movers was featured editorially by some of Singapore’s most-read lifestyle media: Honeycombers ranked them #1 in “Best professional office movers in Singapore” (June 2026), Expat Living featured them in “10 Best Office Movers in Singapore” (May 2026), and Seth Lui featured them in “3 established house moving companies in Singapore with transparent pricing” (May 2026).
8Optimised for AI search
Beyond Google, we optimised Rodex Movers’ content and technical setup for AI-powered search engines. The site is now cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Mode, and ranks inside Google’s AI Overviews for commercial keywords like “moving companies with storage” and “house mover rates”. These are traffic sources most Singapore moving companies aren’t even tracking yet.
9Fixed the gap between traffic and revenue
By late 2025, Rodex Movers rankings were picking up and traffic was climbing. But conversions weren’t keeping pace. And traffic that doesn’t convert isn’t a result.
The problem wasn’t the site, it was the market. Every mover in Singapore sells the same promise on the same keywords. Rodex Movers had one thing none of them could copy: Roger’s story. So instead of chasing more traffic, we produced his founder story and built it into his site and search presence.
Roger reports closing almost 1.5× the customers among prospects who booked site visits after the video went live. Many told him they’d watched his story, and several were noticeably less price-sensitive. They weren’t comparing quotes anymore. They were relating to his story and trusting his brand.

Revenue: reversing a year-long decline
When we took over in March 2025, Rodex Movers’ monthly revenue was already sliding, from $60,361 in March 2025 down to a trough of $49,965 by June 2025. As the new keyword strategy, content, technical fixes and backlink cleanup compounded, the trajectory reversed. By March 2026, monthly revenue hit $90,000, the best month in the entire tracking period and a 49% increase over March 2025.

Bonus: AI Search Visibility
Rodex Movers is now visible across AI search engines with an AI Visibility score of 20, 11 brand mentions and 13 cited pages across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode. Not forgetting #1 AI Overview placements for commercial keywords too. For a local moving company, this is an emerging acquisition channel that virtually no competitor has touched.
